A custom pet portrait is a meaningful way to celebrate the personality and spirit of a beloved companion. Each portrait is created by hand using charcoal and ink, capturing the unique expression and character that makes your pet special.

Every commission is created with care and attention to detail, resulting in a timeless black-and-white portrait that you can treasure for years to come. All portraits come professionally framed and ready to display.

Sizes & Pricing

The following sizes and pricing are available for pet portrait commissions:

9"x12" - $150

11"x14" - $200

16"x20" - $350

18"x24" - $450

Pricing includes one pet per portrait. Additional pets may be added for $50 per additional subject due to the extra time and detail required. This additional fee remains the same regardless of portrait size.

For the best composition and level of detail, portraits featuring multiple pets require a size of either 16"x20" or 18"x24".

Medium & Framing

All portraits are created in black and white using charcoal and ink, giving each piece a timeless, classic look that highlights the character and expression of your pet.

Each finished portrait comes framed, with your choice of:

Black frame

White frame

Warm-toned wood frame

Cool-toned wood frame

Framing is included in the initial portrait pricing.

Reference Photos

To ensure the best possible portrait, you will be asked to provide at least three photos of your pet during the consultation process. The more photos you can provide, the better.

When sending your photos, it's also helpful to share a little about your pet. Tell me about their personality, your favorite things about them, and any physical features you especially love.

If there are specific traits you would like emphasized in the portrait, please make sure those details are clearly visible in the photos you send.

The Commission Process

Once you decide to commission a portrait, you will discuss the details of your piece directly with Sarah. During this consultation you will review:

After all details have been finalized, you will receive a detailed invoice outlining the agreed-upon commission.

A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the artwork total is required before work begins. This deposit secures your commission and protects the artist's time by confirming the agreed-upon project details. Once the deposit is received, Sarah will add your project to the commission schedule and begin creating your portrait.

When the portrait is finished you will receive a watermarked preview image before framing. This allows both you and Sarah to confirm that you are happy with the final result before the portrait is varnished and framed.

Final payment is due once the portrait is completed and approved.

This link will redirect you to the Contact Us page where you can reach out to Sarah regarding your want for a commissioned piece. From there Sarah will start the Pet Portrait consultation process via e mail or text message.

If you have a preferred method of communication whether that be text message or e mail please specify in the initial contact form submitted.

Timeline, Shipping, & Pickup Orders

Estimated completion times are:

Pickup orders: approximately 4-6 weeks

Shipped Orders: approximately 6-8 weeks
