Commission Information for Pet Portraits
As an avid lover of all animals, I know how special it is to have a piece of art to commemorate your pet forever. I love to help people pay tribute to their furry (or scale-y) friends in a creative way.
Please read the information listed below and submit a request form if you are looking to commission a pet portrait for you or someone you love!
Charcoal Medium/Framing
All portraits are done using charcoal medium in the same style as seen below and come framed. You can change the frame of your portrait to one more to your liking or home decor - but it is important to note that these pieces should remain framed in order to maintain the quality they're received in.
Expected Timeframe
Just like all other products from SGM Gallery, commissions can be picked up in person at our Timonium pickup location, delivered within 25 miles of the 21047 area code free of cost, or delivered to further addresses for a delivery fee. Thinking about gifting a pet portrait to someone? It's suggested to submit your request form at least 3/4 weeks ahead of time for in person pickup portraits and 6/8 weeks ahead of time for any portraits being delivered.
Pricing
Pricing listed below is for one subject. An additional $30 per each additional subject will be added for portraits including more than one pet. 11"x14" - $225 16"x20" - $350 18"x24" - $400
Payments/Deposit
Pictures of your pet should be submitted via the request form below. Once you have submitted your request form Sarah will contact you about your commission piece. It is important to attach more than one photo (preferably multiple photos) of your pet with your submission form. Once the expected arrival date is confirmed you will receive an invoice for a deposit to begin your piece. A deposit of approx 20% of the total cost is taken for each commission. This deposit is deducted from the total amount owed at artwork completion. From there you will receive a watermarked picture of your art after completion. Once confirming that your piece captures your furry friend to your liking you will receive an invoice for the remaining amount owed. After the final invoice is paid your artwork will either be delivered to you or ready for pickup!
